Mezzanine Floor

A warehouse mezzanine floor would be constructed in one of two ways; Firstly, with pallet racking supporting the floor. Secondly, with the use of a fabricated steel construction. Both of these options have their own benefits and are useful for storing products or gaining floor space. Which option would best suits your warehouse or purpose? See below for more info.

The options are flexible to work with your space, which is the key focus of these systems. If you want a proposal or are seeking a design. Call BOS Storage for a free chat and quote.

Raised Storage Areas

This is a pallet racking derived system, that is made of the exact same materials you would find in a normal pallet racking set up. However, we design the configuration to suit a raised floor construction. Pallet racking is a pre-engineered system of frames and beams, with this already available product we can create a cost effective design. Another great advantage is the ability to incorporate shelving into it, both above and below the floor level. Similarly, to heavy duty shelving or pallet racking the beams can just clip in to the racks to create shelving.

Structural Mezzanine Floor

When referring to a ‘Structural Mezzanine Floor’, you are talking about a steel fabrication that will be custom made to suit your specification. Unlike a Raised Storage Area this is nut and bolted together and to make any measurements. Since its made to suit you will see that there is more flexibility with the distance of the spans.

Structural mezzanine floors are also great for housing extra office space above the factory floor. With a wide range of options to choose from, like flooring, clad walls, windows or air conditioning. It increases the usability of the space as well as increases the value to the building.

Mezzanine Extras:

No matter which design you choose, you also get the benefit of a number of possible add-ons, such as;
